One of the best fruit salads that I ever ate was the time when I went to Texas! In the quaint little settlement called Grapevine, near to Arlington where we were living at the time, I got invited along with my daughter by her friend who wanted to feed her while she was full term. Southern traditions are great as usual.

It was the delightful frozen strawberry fruit salad made by her husband that had us in a swoon. George’s culinary skills are exceptional. But this strawberry salad made of frozen strawberries, cream cheese, marshmallows, pecans, and pineapple was something else. The delectable fruit salad appeared pretty easy to make. This refreshing, colorful fruit salad was just the perfect end to a great meal. Lush with the vinaigrette made of strawberry preserves, you got an extra blast of strawberry sweetness in every bite, that I have not forgotten till date. Crunchy juicy pineapple bites with toasted pecans providing a nuttiness that added more texture to the flavor of this delicious fruit salad. Here’s how you would make it if you’re feeling inspired.

Preparation:
Start off by combining all the ingredients. Pour into a freezer-safe dish and put in freezer. Freeze thoroughly. Take salad out 20 minutes before serving. Drizzle strawberry preserve vinaigrette and cut into wedges to serve.
